News Brief: Kate Gosselin Set To Make A Splash in Affiliate Marketing

Today CouponCabin.com, winner of multiple affiliate industry awards,  announced the addition of a new contributing blogger: Kate Gosselin. Lately of TLC’s reality show Kate Plus 8, Gosselin will blog weekly and provide shopping tips, top coupons, and money-saving advice. At first glance, this move may not seem like an obvious fit. But as she commented in one report on her new gig, “”No matter how much money you have, it’s just smart to use coupons,” she said. “It’s like free money in your pocket.” Clearly CouponCabin is looking to take advantage of both Gosselin’s experience as a mom of eight and her reality TV credentials.

With her first post debuting November 22, it’s no surprise that she’ll focus on Black Friday deals. We’re told she’ll feature 10 special products. Vendors who are members of CouponCabin will have the option to submit their offers and Gosselin will choose her top picks from the list.

This announcement comes on the heels of CouponCabin receiving a $54 million investment from JMI Equity. As of 2011, they offer access to 3,500 stores and over 100,000 offers. In 2010, CouponCabin reported $500 million in online retail sales for its vendors and $300 million in user savings.

What a joke!  I wouldn’t want Kate Gosselins advice about anything!!

I can’t imagine her bringing much to the table.

She is no expert at saving money. She has admitted spending $2000 a month for groceries. Doesn’t that work out to about $55 per person per week? (for little kids???)
If those vendors do their homework they will realize she is a nobody and only has very few fans

  4. I think it’s not a good move for her to start blogging. In my opinion they hire Kate Gosselin for their brand marketing. May be I’m wrong but I think.
